My name is Shani Orr, I'm a 21 year old who just recently got married. I am looking to work as a nanny/babysitter because I am entering into that motherly stage of life and have developed a real care for children. I have worked with children on and off my whole life and received excellent, dynamic and relevant experience. I babysat casually for regular families through my teenage years, worked as a camp counsellor in America for children and teenagers aged 3-16, worked as a Sunday school teacher for kids aged 3-12 at 3 different churches and have younger children in and around my family life. I currently work as a disability support worker which involves dealing with challenging behaviours, assisting with daily care tasks, cooking, cleaning and maintaining the wellbeing of my clients. I have completed a diploma in justice administration, a diploma in leadership and am completing a diploma of ministry. I am very involved in my church and serve weekly in the youth programmes and children programmes.

I have known Shani for over 3 years and during that time have found her to be one of the most reliable, trustworthy and kind people I know. Not only have I known her personally but she has interned for us in Youth Alive Australia, a national not-for-profit organisation that works with older children and youth. Shani has an ability to relate to all age groups. Her communication skills are of a high level. She is always willing to learn and take on new tasks and we have found her to always follow through and with a high level of efficiency.
