My name is Mikala; I am a 26-year-old female who has dreamed of working in childcare industry since I was in preschool. I was that child that told her teachers “I’m going to be just like you when I grow up”, and that is still where my heart is set. I have ave so much passion for working with children. I pride myself on the fact that when I have worked with children in the past I have been complimented on how natural I am with them, something I have been born to do. For example when I finished my HSC, I continued to go to school and worked in the junior section (including Pre-kindy) of my college and went back numerous times for the next two years). I obtained my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education of August 2019, and have been working as a qualified room assistant for the past Six Months in a toddler room. I have also commenced studies of my Diploma in Early Childhood Education online through Open Colleges. Along with these qualifications, I have had ASD training and experience working with children with special needs. I am a bright, vibrant and happy person who isn't afraid to get silly with the children. I love to engage in physical activity play and craft play!

I worked with Mikala for 6 months, in that time I have seen that Mikala is a passionate and hard working educator.
She has a very kind and bubbly personality and has great pride in her work.
I was continuously impressed by the knowledge and dedication she held for providing education and care to children.
I always knew I could rely on her no matter the task, and she would complete it with great attention to detail.
Whilst her professional skills are excellent it can also be noted that she is a great team player and works well both individually and as a team. She has excellent written and spoken communication skills and values her families and parents wishes with great professionalism.
Mikala prefers a maximum number of 6 children per booking.
