Hello! I am a 26-year-old Canadian studying Midwifery in Brisbane. I currently hold a degree in History, and am an avid reader who is happy to help tutor your older children, encourage movement and active learning, enjoy creative play, and maintain the growth and development of younger children as they discover the world. When I was 12, I took a local "childcare" course, and since then have been babysitting for children from birth to high school. During high school and university, I was an active volunteer in an outdoor school environment, leading children on educational hikes, teaching farm maintenance, and environmental protection. I also volunteered at a summer horseback-riding camp for four years as a counselor, monitoring children aged 6-13 in a range of indoor and outdoor activities, and participated in children's care in various festivals and events. I have been working as an English as a second language tutor for three years. I have worked with children with physical and mental disabilities, including completing regular physio exercises and mental/speech-related activities. I have also worked with refugee children abroad, creating art therapy programs and encouraging their mental growth and physical health in a situation with limited resources. My continued interest in maternal and family development has led me to apply for a position as your nanny or babysitter! I am looking for a part-time position that fits around my university schedule. I am happy to maintain the home and cook in my time with your family. I do not have my own vehicle, but can drive automatic or manual transmission safely. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, painting, and cooking. I am passionate about traveling and exploration, and have visited over 20 countries! I have been lucky enough to begin to explore Australia's national parks after a year here. It has been an incredible journey and I cannot wait to continue! I have a Blue Card valid for working with children, an up-to-date police check, and first aid including CPR (renewed yearly). Please reach out with any questions you may have. I wish you all the best in your search for childcare, and hope that I can be a good fit for your family.

Jasmine couldn't have been better suited to our family. She was incredibly reliable and often was available for last-minute emergency babysitting. Her cooking was great, it was so good to see someone getting the children involved in healthy cooking. Our children's dietary requirements were no issue for her. On top of that, she was a great help when it came to homework and the children found her hilarious. We have moved back up North so had to say goodbye but are very happy to provide a reference for Jasmine as either a nanny or baby-sitter.
